Day 133

First Communion...two years ago.

Grateful for special days

First Communions in our family sometimes happen in twos.  Brennan and Austin.  Max and Rylee.  Gannon and Regan.  This year, Jackson  is celebrating his First Communion tomorrow morning.
At 0830.
We will be there.  :)
Wouldn't miss the little man in a suit...he'll be the handsomest boy there.
We don't get to stay in town, though, for the party following the celebration, because we have to go to Minnesota to see Papa, who is in the hospital...recovering from an infection and he will be starting chemo Monday.
We want to see him before the chemo starts.  Funny how you think everything is ok, and in two years...we find Papa in the hospital...with his cancer back.  :(

I know I for one, will be saying many prayers tomorrow morning as Jackson gets his First Communion.
I know the girls and Matt will be saying theirs.
We love Papa.
We will be seeing him tomorrow.
It will be good to give him hugs, and to hear his wise Irish stories...and to see that twinkle in his eyes.
He's one of my favorite Irishmen.
See you soon, Papa.
